Introduction

Tapered roller bearings are made up of 4 interdependent components: The inner ring, or cone; the tapered

rollers, or rolling elements; the roller retainer, or cage(collectively known as the cone assembly); and an outer

race, or cup. They are designed and manufactured to ensure that their conical rollers and raceways are arranged

so that their contact surfaces converge at a common apex on the bearing’s axis. The larger this contact angle the

greater the bearing’s loading capacity.

The angular construction of single row tapered roller bearings provides a high capacity for radial, axial, and

combined loads.Tapered roller bearings have window-type pressed steel cage with no marking. Others types

could be specifically designed on request.
