Rolling bearings support and guide rotating or oscillating machine elements – such as shafts, axles or wheels – and transfer loads between machine components. Needle Roller Thrust Bearings

Roller bearings — also known as rolling-element bearings — are similar to ball bearings in that they are designed to carry a load while minimizing friction. However, roller bearings transmit loads using cylinder rolling elements, rather than balls, to maintain the separation between moving parts of the bearing. These versatile bearings can contain single or multiple rows of rolling elements; multiple rows can significantly improve radial load capacity. Also, the use of different roller shapes can further reduce friction and support both radial and axial loads.

Roller bearings are used in rotary applications to replace sliding movement with low friction, rolling. Automated roller bearing setting techniques offer many advantages like reduced setting time, assembly cost, and reliable setting. To select the right roller bearing, one must determine the desired bearing life and a sufficient basic dynamic load rating to meet that life requirement. The Needle roller thrust bearings or cylindrical roller thrust bearings can support the bearings with the axial directional load. So they can be used as the bearings with good rigidity and minium axial occupied spaces. Needle roller thrust bearings are composed of a set of tray ring gaskets combined with a retainer with roller bearings. The stand leads and holds many rolling elements.

Suppose the surface of the adjacent parts can be used as a tray for the rolling needles. The holding stand assembly should be recommended when the support space is ample enough to achieve a small axial cross-sectional altitude. The same effect can be ensured in different cases when combined with the relatively thicker ring gaskets of the LS, GS, WS, and ZS series. The applicable gaskets series of AS, LS, GS, WS, and ZS are optional and will be ordered separately by the buyers.

Needle roller thrust bearings are units comprising axial needle rollers and cage assemblies and axial bearing washers with a centering spigot. Needle roller thrust bearings can accommodate heavy axial loads. They are insensitive to shock loads and provide a high degree of bearing units stiffness within a minimum axial space. They represent unidirectional bearings and can only accommodate axial loads acting in one direction.

Points for attention when using needle roller thrust bearings

Needle roller thrust bearing has a large bearing capacity and is suitable for mounting the supporting structure with limited size. The surface of the journal is hardened as the rolling surface, and the bearing is loaded into the seat hole with pressing fit, and there is no need to position it axially. Bearings should be injected with the appropriate amount of grease before installation; usually, after assembly, no more lubrication type bearings are used in the journal without protruding the end of the support. End face closure plays a sealing role and can withstand small axial swimming.
